Apr. 4th, 2016 08:46 amLexa has the ability to feel someone's emotions and have them feel hers when they look each other in the eyes. She can't read thoughts or necessarily know what the emotions mean. She simply feels a slightly muted version of that person's emotions as well as her own for as long as they maintain eye contact. Same for the other person with hers.
She doesn't really have any control over it other than just NOT looking anyone directly in the eyes, and likely WILL avoid doing it as much as possible, but! Just in case this DOES happen! You are completely within your rights to not be cool with it and tell me to knock it off or tone it down or whatever!
The last thing I want to do is make someone uncomfortable or stop anyone from having a good time, so please say a thing! I will even screen these comments in case somebody wants to drop me a line without it having to be a big, public spectacle or whatever.

Grounder Body Mods
Apr. 6th, 2015 01:40 pmA lot of Lexa's people have tattoos and markings and stuff on their bodies. Some are probably just decorative, but a lot of them have actual meaning. FOR INSTANCE, warriors get a little burn/scar thingy on their chest/shoulder area for each kill they've made in battle, and people of rank get tattoos on their arms that indicate their stations.
Lexa's looks like this:

She also has more tattoos on her back. There's a little more below that, but it's not much and I don't have a very good image of it right this second:

On languages!
Mar. 22nd, 2015 07:07 pmOkay, so basically! Lexa speaks two languages. English and Trigedasleng. Trigedasleng is the main language of the Woods Clan. English is only known by one group of them. Specifically? The warriors. Likely because some of their enemies speak English, and being able to understand their enemies without their enemies understanding THEM is a big advantage in battle!
But! (and I won't go into too many details, because it's probably not half as interesting to anyone other than me) The thing with Trigedasleng is that it's basically just English mutated by the nuclear apocalypse, with some grammar and pronunciation changes that have happened both naturally and artificially (that whole not having your enemies understand you thing again) over the last hundred years or so to turn it into sort of its own language. Still! It has a lot of words in common with only slight blurring of the pronunciation or meaning. I mean, even the name of the language is literally just tri-geda-sleng ==> tree-together-slang ==> woods-clan-language. Which is why I'm going to be playing a little shady dealing with the Translator if everybody's willing to put up with me for it, haha
By which I mean, Trigedasleng COULD still TECHNICALLY be considered a dialect of English, so that's what the Translator translates it into! A strange version of your language that you might be able to decipher sort of with some thought. And when she chooses to speak in proper English, it translates that intelligibly again!
Whiiiiich is the IC explanation I came up with so I'd have an excuse to use the language when I want to, because I'm a huge English nerd and I love it and wanna play with my new toy |D

CFUD stats and permissions
Mar. 22nd, 2015 07:00 pmAge: early twenties (Grounders don't really celebrate birthdays, so she probably doesn't even know for sure)
Height: 5'7"
Weight: fit person of that height weight?
Eyes: green
Hair: brown
Medical Info and Physical traits: Mostly regular human, though with higher than average resistance to radiation. Her blood is black, but it hasn't been completely explained how this works. Probably nanomachines or something. Quite physically fit and in possession of a number of battle scars and tribal tattoos.
What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: Whatever!
Abilities: Nothing superhuman. Her black blood had some interesting effects once, but those are no longer relevant. A pretty damn good fighter and strategist though.
Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive: Not much here either? Normal gal from a post-apocalyptic tribe of warriors.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure, if you're prepared for some potentially violent responses!
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: lol good luck
Maim/Murder/Death: Talk to me.
Cooking: probably can kill a thing and then roast it over a fire??
